Fundraising Campaign at the 39th International Swim Meet: 800 Euros for the Werdohl Food Bank
At the 39th International Swim Meet hosted by SV 08 Werdohl, the focus wasn’t solely on record times and athletic achievements – a good cause also played a central role. As part of a special fundraising campaign in support of the Werdohl Food Bank, a total of 800 euros was raised.
The swimming club had specially designed event shirts printed with the names of all participating athletes. Buyers were asked to make an additional voluntary donation of 2 euros. SV 08 Werdohl then doubled the donated amount – resulting in the impressive total of 800 euros.
During the swimming festival, Kevin Seegmüller, Chairman of SV 08 Werdohl, and Carsten Schulz from the Werdohl Food Bank jointly presented one of the campaign shirts, which was very well received by the participants.
“We’re very pleased with the great response and the willingness of the participants to donate,” said Kevin Seegmüller, Chairman of SV 08 Werdohl. Schulz expressed his gratitude for the support: “Especially in times like these, any help is welcome – and 800 euros is a strong sign of solidarity.”
